Warner Brothers Animation (WBA) has begun production on “ThunderCats,” an all-new animated series for Cartoon Network, based upon the iconic 1980s action classic. “ThunderCats” is the newest series from WBA, joining “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” which was recently renewed for a third season, and the following forthcoming programs: “The Looney Tunes Show,” “MAD,” “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated” and “Young Justice.” The announcement was made today by Sam Register, Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs, Warner Brothers Animation. - Source enewsi.com

Welcome to Uniqlo!

One of my favorite products from Uniqlo is their range of UTs, especially the ones featuring Anime and Japanese Science Fiction Heroes. Here are a few very hard to find UTs of Kamen Rider Ichigo (Masked Rider No. 1) and Ultraman. They can't be found in Singapore Uniqlo (I actually asked them and they say they are not bringing in...) and are also quite hard to find in Japan. Thanks once again for my friend who got it for me on his recent Japan trip!

 Plastic bag from Uniqlo Japan
Rider 1 in his signature "Henshin (Transform)" pose

Detail of the Cyclone Bike on the left sleeve, brilliant touch!
Tachibana Racing Club logo at the front
Rider 1 executing the "Rida Kick" at the back of the tee
Ultraman in his beam shooting pose

Detail of the Jet VTOL, the Science Patrol's usual mode of transport in the original Ultraman series, nostalgic!

Uniqlo UTs actually cost cheaper in Japan than in Singapore. They are very affordable and well designed and hopefully, they will keep up the good work and produce more of these gems!

My Ultraman Collection

Here are some of my Ultraman Gasahpons and Soft Vinyl Figures collection. Enjoy!

It was quite a chore arranging them. There were a few times where Ultraman Ace fell down a few times and started a "domino" effect and brought down some of his brothers with him. But once done, I am rewarded with a magnificent display of the Ultra heroes in my living room : ).

Ultraman Cola Drink!

Looking at these series of pictures, one wouldn't guess that this is actually a can drink designed with the red and silver stripes of Ultraman on it, nice!

This is actually a cola-like drink by a Japanese drink company DyDo. My friend Sze Huat gave the can to me after his recent trip to Japan. (Thanks Bro!) The one that he gave me is of Ultraman Zoffy's design. Here's how the back of the can looks like...

It shows the data on Ultraman Zoffy and also of all the designs of this series of drink. All of them look top notched! I brought out my Zoffy figure to take a pic with the can.

Zoffy : Hey where did the can go?

It is now proudly displayed in this plastic casing I got from Daiso at $2 a pop, Swee lah!

My RAH 220 Kamen Rider 1 Repaired!

Recently while trying to extract the body from the costume of my Medicom RAH 220 New Kamen Rider 1 figure, I accidentally ripped out the two green "leaves" at the back!!!

Above is a pic of the said green "leaves". Apparently, this is a common problem with Kamen Rider figures. The two pieces will start to flaked off with age, and eventually come off the costume when one tries to take it off the body. By now, I was already feeling stupid for trying to take the costume off as the damage made to the figure was not worth the effort! I also discovered that the front chest piece of the figure got ripped out...Oh No!

Thank heavens a fellow toy collector friend, Mr CY recommended me a place where I can get it repaired professionally. Here are the pics of the figure repaired.

Mr Jonathan from Custom Workz did a superb job! He used two pieces of leather cut to the exact shape of the original "leaves" and painted it the exact color as the original and stuck the pieces firmly on the costume. The chest piece was also stuck securely back onto the costume. I must say he not only repaired the costume but also made it more solid and sturdy! I highly recommend Custom Workz to those that need to have their toys repaired or customized. Customz Workz is located at Golden Mile Tower, #01-43. Visit their blog at http://custom-workz.blogspot.com/ and see all the amazing works!

Rider 1 is now back to his former glory! Next up, New Kamen Rider 2 and Shocker Rider will appear on this blog, stay tuned!!
